ISO 37001

Our company’s long-term commitment to conducting business with integrity means avoiding corruption in any form, including bribery, and complying with applicable anti-corruption laws. The Anti-Bribery Policy trains employees and partners, while monitoring compliance with these standards.

This Policy aims to raise awareness among all employees and partners of GS RECYCLING S.A. against bribery, and seeks to strengthen the commitment of its stakeholders to a zero-tolerance approach to bribery, creating a framework of obligations and guidelines to be used as a tool for the prevention, deterrence, and combating of bribery.

Specifically, the GS RECYCLING S.A. Anti-Bribery Policy:

Ensures compliance with the current legal and regulatory framework for combating bribery.

Promotes understanding of the definition and different forms of bribery.

Encourages vigilance among employees and stakeholders for identifying bribery-related actions.

Is appropriate for the provision of the company’s services.

Provides the framework for setting, reviewing, and achieving anti-bribery objectives.

Encourages the confidential reporting of any incident or suspicion of bribery through dedicated communication channels, ensuring trust and protection from retaliation. Employees and partners are also able to report to Transparency International Greece at tihellas@transparency.gr

Meets the requirements of the ISO 37001:2017 Anti-Bribery Management System and aims at its continuous improvement.

Encourages employees to declare family or other relationships with Public Officials or the company’s Suppliers/Partners.

Applies the principle of independence of the compliance function against bribery.

Explains the consequences of non-compliance with the Anti-Bribery Policy.

Commits to monitoring GS RECYCLING S.A.’s compliance with the laws governing its activities.

Leads to the conduct of financial and non-financial audits within its internal operations.

The Policy is binding for all, without exception: Employees, Members of Management, Business Partners, Financial and Legal Advisors, Suppliers, Subcontractors, and any other third party acting on behalf of the company. Annual Management Reviews verify compliance with this Policy.

ISO 39001

The operation of GS Recycling with regard to Road Safety is governed by the principles set out in its Road Safety Management System. The system is based on the requirements and specifications of the international standard ISO 39001:2012 and is fully aligned with the company’s activities and objectives.

GS Recycling is committed to ensuring a healthy working environment focused on protecting its employees and stakeholders involved in its services from traffic-related injuries, while simultaneously reducing its carbon footprint. Vehicles, trucks, work machinery, and other equipment are considered an integral part of its working environment.

Our priority is to build a culture of safe driving and improve employees’ driving behavior through training in safe driving practices. Our goal is to reduce and eliminate road accidents, property loss, injuries (fatal or not), and to contribute meaningfully to environmental protection. This is achieved through:

  • Incorporating the company’s strategies, policies, and operating procedures aimed at improving Road Safety.

  • Periodic review of routes to identify and eliminate significant road safety risks, while providing necessary resources and adequate training.

  • Scheduling internal audits to evaluate the implementation of safe driving procedures and guidelines.

  • Applying the principles of Defensive and Eco-Driving, contributing to environmental protection by reducing fuel consumption and greenhouse gas emissions.

  • Promoting best practices and proper maintenance of vehicles, trucks, machinery, and equipment to reduce accidents and protect the environment.

  • Establishing performance indicators for monitoring and evaluating the Road Safety Management System (RSMS).

  • Implementing preventive maintenance and environmentally sound waste management of vehicles, trucks, and machinery.

  • Using fuels, lubricants, and vehicle support materials that are environmentally friendly.

  • Conducting periodic checks for alcohol and substance use.

  • Collaborating with stakeholders to exchange best practices.

  • Continuously improving and documenting the implementation of the RSMS.

  • Complying with all applicable laws and regulations (speed limits, road conditions, fog, ice, no use of emergency lane) related to safe driving.

  • Prohibiting mobile phone use while driving or operating machinery and equipment.

  • Ensuring that investigations and reports are carried out for all accidents.

This policy has the full support of Top Management and is applied, observed, and communicated to all employees and stakeholders (e.g., suppliers, subcontractors) and is made available to the public.

ISO 14001 45001 9001

The overall operation of GS RECYCLING is governed by the principles of its Integrated Management System for Quality, Environment & Occupational Health & Safety (OHS). This system is based on the requirements and specifications of the international standards ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 & ISO 45001, and is fully aligned with the company’s activities and objectives.

Our commitments:

  • To comply with and adhere to the requirements of the Integrated Management System, which is based on ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 & ISO 45001.

  • To provide the necessary resources for the continuous improvement of the Integrated Management System, ensuring the delivery of quality services and products, improving environmental performance, and creating a safe working environment.

  • To implement compliance monitoring with legislative and regulatory requirements, focusing on pollution prevention, reducing the environmental impact of our activities, and promoting health & safety.

  • To provide safe working conditions prioritizing employee health, aiming to prevent work accidents and occupational diseases.

  • To allocate the appropriate resources for identifying, assessing, and minimizing OHS risks related to company activities.

  • To encourage employee participation in identifying, evaluating, and eliminating or reducing occupational risks to acceptable levels.

Key objectives of the Integrated Management System:

  • Full compliance with contractual obligations and on-time delivery of products and services.

  • Clear identification of customer requirements, along with documented and ongoing monitoring of customer satisfaction and recording of feedback or complaints.

  • Securing the necessary resources for effective operation.

  • Documented root cause analysis of problems and weaknesses, followed by corrective actions to avoid recurrence.

  • Identification of environmental aspects resulting from company activities, with specific objectives and targets set for those deemed significant.

  • Ensuring employee competence through continuous training.

  • Setting clear and measurable Quality and Environmental targets, and evaluating performance with the aim of ongoing improvement.

  • Establishing measurable targets for employee Health & Safety to assess performance in OHS and improve the working environment.

  • Ensuring continuous effectiveness and suitability of the Integrated Management System through procedures and audits, both for production processes and for suppliers & partners.

This Policy has been communicated to all employees and partners and is available to the public. It is reviewed and revised annually during Management Review.
